Brad called us today!! He sounds good. He is really liking it! It was so good to hear his voice :o) He will call us again next Sunday. I've been napping most of the day. Not sure why I am so sleepy.
Today is a lay around and do nothing day. That's how every Sunday is for us. I went to bed last night and totally forgot about setting the clocks forward. I woke up this morning thinking it was 9:15 and it was really 10:15. I still haven't changed all the clocks. This time change thing really has me messed up. How does changing the time save energy? It's going to be a beautiful day here, I hope to get out and enjoy the sun and warm weather.
Nothing going on here today. Just kicking back and relaxing!
I just came in from taking Tucker outside. I was glad to see that I was not the only half asleep, pet owner out in my jammies with bed head. I'm sure we looked like zombies with dogs on leashes.
I'm not a morning person, although at one time I was. I wonder what happened to that?
Last night Chad and I took Tucker out and ended up walking around the complex. It was a bit chilly, but it was nice to get out and get some fresh air. We've decided that this summer we will go for a nightly walk together. Since I will be working until 11 at night, we'll probably do that on my nights off. You never know though. Chad has always stayed up until I got home from work. After being on my feet for 8 hours I doubt I will want to come home and walk. As for today, I'm not sure what we're doing. Last night Chad and I were going through some boxes in our bedroom. Yes, we still have boxes left from our move. We found some stuff that needs to be matted and framed. I have several CD covers autographed from Todd Agnew. I want to get them framed nice. So we'll head to Hobby Lobby to see about getting that done. We have the nascar race to watch, and I'm not sure about the art museum. The exhibit from Paris is not the original paintings, those stay at the Louvre museum in Paris. I say when we go to Paris I'll see them. I'm looking forward to our summer vacation. We've decided to drive to South Carolina to see Josh graduate basic training. That way we can see some places we've always wanted to go. I love road trips! I got out the maps last night and started looking on the net for places I want to see. We will most likely make our stops on the way back home. I will be in a hurry to see Josh :o) I think I hear Chad up stairs. I'm going to see what our day holds. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
Tucker didn't like momma brushing his teeth. AT ALL!! His teeth do look cleaner. Although, his breathe could still knock you over *gag* I'll try it again in a couple of days. Tomorrow I go in for my 2 week check up *joy* Chad's off for Presidents Day. I'm going to be off again this week, it will be my last. *sigh* I will however go into work and do 4 hours of computer mods each day. Once I do go back to work I will keep the 4 hour shift for 2 weeks and then go back to regular 8 hour shifts, 4 days a week. Some weeks I will work 3 days a week. As for today, not much going on here. It's pretty cold here this morning. I think we're going to be in the 40's today. Brad has to work today, Josh is still asleep so I don't know how his first night at work went. Today is the start of the NASCAR season, the Daytona 500 is today *Woot* I love it! I may make chili today, may not. Just depends on my mood. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!!
We're all here today. Brad is off today. He's been working his butt off the last 2 days. His first day he worked 15 hours! Yesterday he had the option of going in or having the day off. After working 15 hours the day before you'd think he would have taken the day off. Nope. Not Brad. He's a very hard worker. So he went in and worked another 12 or so hours. That kid amazes me! Today I'm in some pain. I got my script filled this morning. Josh took it to Super Target for me. He is still looking for a job. He's put in several apps but nothing yet. He may go later today to a hardware store that has an ad in the paper for help wanted. I too have been looking in the paper for a job. Just to see what else is out there. All Chad says is "You already have a job" *sigh* I did talk to one of my bosses the other day. Just to let them know how I was doing & etc. She told me that I could do training for another job. They want to train me to be a Unit Secretary. I have watched them and it is a stressful job. You have to read the patient chart after the dr is finished writing new orders, new meds, new tests, etc. You enter that info into the computer. After that I'm not sure. They answer the phones at the nurses station, and filing. They say it is hard to read the dr's writing *lol* I'm going to give it a try and see how it goes. Maybe I'll like it. I won't be on my feet hardly at all (yea) and I don't have to do patient care. I've always wanted to be a secretary or have a desk job of some kind. I would like to go to the vo-tech and take classes for that. I hope you have a wonderful Sunday :o)
Today will be a lazy day :o) Chad has a 3 day weekend because tomorrow is Veterans day. It's also my dad's birthday tomorrow. Our first without him :o( I'm going to get some birthday balloons and take them to his grave. That may sound weird, but I think it will help me. After that Chad and I may go to OKC for the day. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!! {{Hugs}}
Yesterday we closed the sale down at noon. I only made a couple of bucks yesterday. We didn't have very many stop yesterday for some reason. I loaded up what didn't sell and took it to the goodwill. Today is a very lazy day. I'm staying in my jammies today and watching the race and playing on the puter. I did get a nice surprise in the mail Friday. Fed Ex brought me an early Christmas present from my DH. It was a new Ipod Nano :) I love it!! He said more surprises are on the way *WooHoo*
Not much going on here today. Brad will come home this afternoon from drill weekend, Josh is at church, and Chad and I are just hanging out here. We'll watch the nascar race and some football this afternoon. The chili with deer meat was really good. I was very surprised! I totally forgot that it was deer in the chili. Friday afternoon I called Sue at the hospital to see if she could tell me anything about me getting on there. She said that my app had been passed on to the person in charge of hiring. She said that I should get a call sometime this week for an interview. She did talk to me a bit more about my hours and me working weekends. She said that I will have to work at least 1 weekend a month. I said that was fine, but I did stress I can't work every weekend. She was fine with that. She said she would email the person that has my app and let them know I can work "some" weekends. So cross your fingers that I get a call!! The sooner I get a job, the sooner we can move. We really don't want to stay in the farm house another winter. It's very expensive to heat this place. Tuesday my daughter and I are going to Norman for the afternoon. We'll go to lunch with Chad and afterwards we'll go to some shops. And just in case, I'm grabbing some apps to fill out for back up. We have a cold front moving in later today, this week will be much cooler. Tomorrow our high is 50 something, I found a huge roast in the deep freeze (It's deer *lol*) so I'm going to get it out to thaw and have it for supper Monday night. I hope it will be as good as the chili was. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!!
I will be taking a nap later today. I couldn't sleep last night for some reason and ended up at Wal Mart at 3 something this morning. Why? Who knows *lol* I came home and went to bed at 4-4:30am and it's now 8:30am. I never have any trouble sleeping. Nothing much planned for us today. DH and I will watch some football and nap. He will be returning back to work tomorrow for the first time in like 3 months. He's been off work with back problems. I have gotten use to him being here with me everyday, but it's good he's getting to go back. I think once we move and I start my job search I will be going back to retail. I want a day shift and being a nurse you always get the nights. I'm looking online for retail shops to go apply at. It's a college town so I have plenty to choose from.
I have a link to share with all of you book lovers. It's like Netflicks but instead of movies it books. Once we get moved I will be signing up. Books Free
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!!
